What VERA does
The office work, off your plate
Medicine is your veterinarians' work. Reminders, estimates, records and the ringing phone are what keep a clinic front desk behind, and that is what VERA prepares.
Pets who miss their yearly visit
Clients mean to book and forget. VERA lists every client whose annual visit is due and drafts the reminder, one message per client rather than one per pet.
Estimates with no answer
A client takes home a dental estimate and goes quiet. VERA drafts the follow-up with the deposit link and two drop-off dates.
Records from the last clinic
New clients arrive without history. VERA sends an upload link before the visit and a reminder if nothing comes in.
The phone after closing
Vera answers from your notes, gives callers the emergency hospital you listed, and leaves appointment requests for the morning. She never gives medical advice.
Wellness plan billing
Monthly plans billed by hand get missed. VERA runs them as automatic payments once the client authorizes them.
Seasonal rushes
Holiday boarding, spring flea and tick questions, the summer travel rush. VERA drafts the posts and the client emails before they hit.

Questions
VERA for veterinary practices in Colorado
How does Colorado withhold income tax from wages?
Colorado withholds a flat 4.4% of taxable wages.
Is VERA a veterinary practice management system?
No. VERA keeps no medical records, gives no medical advice and does no triage. It handles the front office and business side: reminders, estimates, records requests, invoices, wellness plan billing, the phone and marketing.
Does it connect to our practice management software?
Not directly today. VERA connects to Google Calendar, Calendly, Stripe, Square, QuickBooks, Mailchimp, Facebook and Instagram. Clinics use VERA's own calendar, booking page and client list for the reminders it prepares.
What does the receptionist tell a caller with an emergency?
Exactly what you wrote down, and nothing medical. Most clinics give Vera the name and address of the emergency hospital they refer to. She can also put an urgent call through to the person you chose, and every call lands in your Inbox.
Can clients accept an estimate and pay a deposit online?
Yes. The estimate goes as a link the client can accept, and a deposit can be requested through a pay link. Card numbers go straight to the payment processor and are not stored by VERA.
