How does VERA work?
VERA follows four steps: propose, approve, execute, log. You describe what you need in plain English, or VERA spots the work itself from your jobs and messages. It drafts the result and puts it in an approval queue. You approve, edit or reject it. Only then does VERA send it, and it records what it did.
Will VERA contact my customers without my permission?
No. Every message, quote, invoice, post and reminder that leaves your business waits in an approval queue until you approve it. You can turn on automatic sending for specific routine tasks, but only under rules you set yourself, and the default for everything is off. Every action VERA takes is written to an activity log you can read.
What software does VERA work with?

Is VERA right for my business?
VERA fits best when the office work is the bottleneck: quotes going out late, follow-ups not happening, invoices sitting unpaid, and nobody on payroll to chase them. It suits veterinary practices with one to about twenty-five people. If your admin is already fully covered by staff you trust, VERA has less to add.
How is VERA different from a general AI assistant like ChatGPT?
A general assistant writes text in a chat window and then you copy it somewhere. What are the plan limits?
Each plan includes a set number of seats, connected integrations, and scheduled tasks (see each card). Approval and automation capabilities also step up by plan.
What happens in a really busy month?
If you reach the end of a month's AI work, new drafting pauses and nothing else changes. Your data stays put, everything you already approved still runs, and your allowance refills at the start of the next billing cycle.
What do I get during the 7-day trial?

How do I know how much I have left?
Your account header shows how much of the month is left, and the Usage page lists every job VERA has run and what it took. Nothing is spent without appearing there.

Is VERA a veterinary practice management system?
No. VERA keeps no medical records, gives no medical advice and does no triage. It handles the front office and business side: reminders, estimates, records requests, invoices, wellness plan billing, the phone and marketing.
Does it connect to our practice management software?
Not directly today. VERA connects to Google Calendar, Calendly, Stripe, Square, QuickBooks, Mailchimp, Facebook and Instagram. Clinics use VERA's own calendar, booking page and client list for the reminders it prepares.
What does the receptionist tell a caller with an emergency?
Exactly what you wrote down, and nothing medical. Most clinics give Vera the name and address of the emergency hospital they refer to. She can also put an urgent call through to the person you chose, and every call lands in your Inbox.
Can clients accept an estimate and pay a deposit online?
Yes. The estimate goes as a link the client can accept, and a deposit can be requested through a pay link. Card numbers go straight to the payment processor and are not stored by VERA.
Does VERA handle pet insurance?
No. VERA does not file or track pet insurance claims. It sends your own estimates, invoices and pay links.
Will VERA message clients on its own?
Not unless you decide it should. By default every message waits for staff approval. If you want one routine task, such as appointment confirmations, to run on its own, you create that rule and can switch it off any time.
Can the whole front desk use it?
Yes. Growth and Agency plans include multiple seats, so receptionists, technicians who handle scheduling and the practice manager can approve together.
