What is VERA?
VERA is an AI business operations assistant for caterers. How does VERA work?
VERA follows four steps: propose, approve, execute, log. You describe what you need in plain English, or VERA spots the work itself from your jobs and messages. It drafts the result and puts it in an approval queue. You approve, edit or reject it. Only then does VERA send it, and it records what it did.
Will VERA contact my customers without my permission?
No. Every message, quote, invoice, post and reminder that leaves your business waits in an approval queue until you approve it. You can turn on automatic sending for specific routine tasks, but only under rules you set yourself, and the default for everything is off. Every action VERA takes is written to an activity log you can read.
What software does VERA work with?

Is VERA right for my business?

It suits caterers with one to about twenty-five people. If your admin is already fully covered by staff you trust, VERA has less to add.
How is VERA different from a general AI assistant like ChatGPT?
A general assistant writes text in a chat window and then you copy it somewhere. What are the plan limits?
Each plan includes a set number of seats, connected integrations, and scheduled tasks (see each card). Approval and automation capabilities also step up by plan.
What happens in a really busy month?
If you reach the end of a month's AI work, new drafting pauses and nothing else changes. Your data stays put, everything you already approved still runs, and your allowance refills at the start of the next billing cycle.
What do I get during the 7-day trial?
Enough AI work to put VERA through a real week of your own jobs, which is less than a paid month. Upgrade any time and your plan's full allowance and features unlock immediately.
How do I know how much I have left?
Your account header shows how much of the month is left, and the Usage page lists every job VERA has run and what it took. Nothing is spent without appearing there.

Will VERA send quotes or invoices without my permission?
No. VERA drafts every quote, reply, reminder, and invoice, then waits for you to approve, edit, or decline. The only exception is a routine task you have explicitly allowed to run on its own under rules you set.
Can VERA price an event per person?
Yes. Quotes are built from your own line items and rates, so a plated dinner is guests times your per-person price, and staff, rentals, and delivery sit on their own lines. You review the numbers before the client sees anything.
Can I take a deposit to hold the date?
Yes. Add a deposit to the quote and the client pays it by card from the same link they accept on. VERA then tracks the balance and drafts the invoice for it ahead of the event.
How does it handle headcount changes?
VERA drafts a request for the confirmed count ahead of your final-count deadline. When the number changes, ask VERA to update the quote and it prepares the revised version for you to check before it goes back to the client.
Can clients book tastings online?
Yes. VERA publishes a booking page with the appointment types and hours you choose, such as a tasting or a planning call, and offers only times you are free. Each booking arrives as a request for you to confirm.
Is VERA an online ordering or point-of-sale system?
No. VERA runs the inquiries, quotes, deposits, invoices, scheduling, and follow-up around your events. It does not take online food orders, run a register, or track kitchen inventory.
Can I review everything before it happens?
Always. VERA is approval-first by design: propose → approve → execute. Nothing external happens without your say-so, and every action is logged.
