What it does

Inside Payments.

Card payments through Stripe

Customers pay from a link. Card numbers go to Stripe directly and are not stored by VERA.

The other two thirds

Plenty of this work is still paid by cheque and cash. Record those against the invoice and revenue reflects money that actually landed.

In-flight money is not collected money

A payment that is processing is shown as processing. Revenue counts what has cleared, so the number on the dashboard is one you can act on.

Where this connects.

Invoicing

The finished job already holds what was done, what it cost, and what was agreed. The invoice comes from that rather than being rebuilt at the end of the week.

Reporting

Revenue that counts money actually collected, costs recorded against the jobs that caused them, and documents produced from the same records rather than rebuilt in a spreadsheet.

Expenses and mileage

Photograph a receipt and it is read, categorised, and attached to the job. Log the drive and it lands against the same job. Job costing stops being a guess.
