What actually happens to the document

It is read, not transcribed
Spreadsheets are read by mapping their columns. PDFs and photos go to the model as files, so it sees the layout, not a flattened dump of text.
Every line stays live
Nothing becomes static text. Each row keeps its quantity, unit, integer-cent price, category and taxability, so the totals recompute the moment you change one.
Repairs are explained
OCR damage, a date in the wrong order, a total that does not close: VERA fixes what it can and shows you the before, the after and the reason. It never adjusts a number quietly.

Do I need an account to try this?
No. Drop the file and you see the whole rebuilt document: every line item, the categories VERA assigned, the totals and the repairs it made. An account is what you create afterwards to keep it.
What happens to my file?
It is read and then dropped. VERA stores what it read for seven days, so the account you create can pick the document up, and keeps no copy of the file itself. Nothing is sent to your customer and nothing is published.
Which formats can it read?
PDFs, photos and scans, screenshots, Excel and CSV exports, Word documents, HTML and JSON. Spreadsheets and CSVs are read by column mapping; PDFs and photos are read by the model, which sees the layout rather than a flattened transcription.
What if my platform is not on the list?
Drop the file anyway. VERA reads the document itself, so an unrecognized platform only means it has no layout shortcut to start from, not that it cannot read the invoice.
What do I get if I create an account?
The document you just read becomes a live VERA estimate or invoice: editable line items with real quantities and integer-cent prices, its own customer record, a public link, a PDF and a signature path. Plus everything else VERA does with the jobs behind those documents.
