Subscription & Billing Policy
How paying for VERA works, stated concretely. Payments are processed by Stripe; card details are entered on Stripe's hosted pages and never reach VERA's systems. This policy forms part of the Terms of Service.

1. Plans and pricing
VERA offers a Free plan and three paid plans. Each includes a monthly allowance of AI credits. Annual billing is charged up front for twelve months at roughly 20 percent off the monthly rate.
| Plan | Monthly price | Included AI credits per month |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 25 |
| Starter | $29 | 1,000 |
| Growth | $49 | 2,500 |
| Pro | $149 | 10,000 |
2. The free trial
Eligible new accounts get a 7-day trial with 1,000 trial credits, up to 20 approved actions, and the Pro feature set. The clock starts on your first successful sign-in, not when the record is created.
No payment method is required to start, and the trial begins without one. It runs 7 days, no subscription is created, and no charge can occur. You may add a payment method at any point, either when your account is created or later from the offer shown in the app. Doing so extends the trial to 14 days in total and is what puts the account on the automatic billing described below. You enter card details on Stripe's hosted checkout; they never reach VERA's systems.
How the trial ends depends on whether a payment method is on file. With no payment method on file nothing converts and nothing is charged: the workspace moves to the Free plan and you choose a paid plan yourself if you want one. With a payment method on file the trial converts on its own: when the 14-day window ends, the subscription leaves its trial state and Stripe issues the first invoice for the plan you selected, charging the payment method on file. The Pro plan is $149 per month on monthly billing; if you selected a different plan or an annual term, that is what you are charged for. To avoid the charge you must cancel before your renewal date.
The trial ends when the first of its three limits is reached: its day count (7 days without a payment method on file, 14 with one), 1,000 trial credits consumed, or 20 approved actions completed. An approved action is a proposal you approved that then executed successfully; failed and retried executions do not count. The terms are fixed when your trial starts and a later change to our standard terms does not alter a trial already running.
If your trial ends early because you reached the credit or approved-action limit before the day count, the first charge is brought forward to that moment rather than waiting out the remaining days, so billing and access change at the same time instead of days apart.
During the trial, most AI actions are charged at a reduced trial rate. Trial credits do not carry into a paid plan or into the Free workspace.
If you added a payment method you can cancel at any point during the trial, from your billing settings or Stripe's billing portal. Cancelling before your renewal date means you are never charged, and you keep access for the remainder of the trial window rather than losing it the moment you cancel. If you never added one there is no subscription to cancel. The Cancellation Policy covers this in full.
Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund a charge already taken. Payments that have been collected are not refunded, including a first charge that follows a trial you did not cancel in time. Cancel before your renewal date to avoid being charged at all.
If you cancel, or if your trial was started without a payment method, your workspace and data remain available and the workspace moves to the Free plan: 25 AI credits and 3 approved actions every 30 days, plus 1 newly connected integration. Existing records stay editable, data export stays available, and integrations you already connected are not disconnected. Scheduled automations are paused rather than deleted, and choosing a plan makes them eligible to resume. Purchased credit balances are preserved.
One trial per account and one per email address. VERA may grant a one-time short extension in response to cancellation feedback; it is discretionary and not repeatable.
3. AI credits
Credits meter AI work. A short draft costs a few credits; heavy research or agent work costs substantially more. The per-action cost is shown in the app, and the app tells you before an action that you lack the balance for.
Credits live in separate wallets. During a trial, spending draws on trial credits first and then on any credit packs you bought; the Free monthly allowance is not touched. Outside a trial, the monthly plan allowance is spent first and then purchased packs. Trial credits expire when the trial ends; purchased packs do not expire while your account is active.
The trial's credit limit is measured on trial credits alone, so buying a credit pack neither extends nor shortens your trial.
The monthly allowance resets at the start of each billing cycle and does not roll over. Unused allowance is lost at the reset. Purchased packs do not expire while your account is active.
Extra credits can be bought at any time: 500 credits for $10, 1,500 credits for $25, 5,000 credits for $75. Purchased packs are one-time charges, not a subscription, and they survive a plan change.
Where an AI action reserves credits and then fails, the reservation is refunded to the wallet automatically. If you believe a failure charged you anyway, contact support@myvera.io.
4. How payment works
Subscribing or buying credits opens Stripe's hosted checkout. You enter card details on Stripe's pages. VERA receives confirmation of the outcome; it never receives, transmits, or stores your card number.
Nothing is granted from the browser. A plan or credit pack is applied only after Stripe confirms payment through a signature-verified webhook, and deliveries are deduplicated by event id so a pack cannot be granted twice.
If Stripe confirms a payment and your plan or credits have not appeared within a few minutes, contact support@myvera.io with the Stripe receipt and we will reconcile it.
5. Renewals and price changes
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term, monthly or annually, at the then-current price, until cancelled. Stripe emails a receipt for each charge.
We may change prices. A change never affects a term you have already paid for. For a monthly subscription we will give at least 30 days' notice before the new price applies to a renewal; for an annual subscription, notice before the renewal date. If you do not accept a new price, cancel before the renewal.
Plan allowances and credit costs may also change. Where a change materially reduces what you have already paid for, we will give notice before it applies to your current term.
6. Upgrades and downgrades
You can change plan at any time from your billing settings. An upgrade takes effect immediately and Stripe prorates the difference for the remainder of the term.
Changing plan updates your existing subscription rather than creating a second one, and Stripe prorates the difference against the current period. Changing plan starts a fresh credit cycle: the subscription wallet is set to the new plan's monthly allowance. Purchased credit packs are preserved across the change. Unused trial credits are forfeited on conversion to a paid plan.
A downgrade reduces your monthly allowance and may put you above the limits of the lower plan. VERA does not delete data when you downgrade; some features become unavailable until you upgrade again.
7. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries on its standard schedule and emails you. VERA marks the subscription as past due and tells you immediately.
A failed invoice opens a 3-day grace period. Your workspace keeps working on the credits already granted to it, but no new monthly credits are granted from an unpaid invoice.
If the grace period ends with the invoice still unpaid, scheduled and automated work is paused and consequential actions stop. Your data, your records and data export all remain available, and nothing is deleted. Past-due access does not continue indefinitely.
Update your payment method through the Stripe billing portal, reachable from your billing settings. A verified successful payment restores paid access and makes paused work eligible to resume; work whose scheduled moment passed while you were paused is held for your review rather than published automatically. A lapsed subscription never starts a new free trial.
We do not add late fees or interest.
8. Taxes
Prices shown are exclusive of tax unless stated otherwise. Where VERA is required to collect sales tax, VAT, GST, or a similar tax, it is calculated at checkout based on your billing address and added to the amount charged.
You are responsible for supplying an accurate billing address and, where applicable, a valid tax identification number. If a payment must be made net of withholding tax, the amount payable is grossed up so VERA receives the full amount.
Stripe issues receipts and invoices. If you need a specific invoice format for your accounting, ask support@myvera.io.
9. Usage limits
Beyond credits, plans describe limits such as the number of saved tasks, connected integrations, and scheduled automations. Rate limits also apply to protect the Service, and are independent of your credit balance.
Persistently exceeding fair use, or attempting to circumvent metering or rate limiting, is a breach of the Acceptable Use Policy and may result in throttling or suspension.
10. Currency and disputes
All prices are in United States dollars. Charges appear on your statement from our payment processor and may be converted by your bank at its own rate, with fees we do not control.
If you do not recognize a charge, contact support@myvera.io before disputing it with your bank. A chargeback filed without contacting us first may result in immediate suspension while it is resolved.
