Payout Terms
These terms cover Vera Payments: the payments your own customers make to you through VERA. They are separate from your VERA subscription. The short version is that Stripe holds and pays out this money, not VERA, so Stripe's timing applies and VERA cannot speed it up, hold it back, or send it anywhere other than the bank account on your Stripe account.

1. Who holds the money
When a customer pays you, the charge is taken on your own Stripe connected account. Stripe holds those funds, applies its own fees, and pays them out to the bank account you gave Stripe. VERA takes a platform fee on the payment (disclosed before you send each request) and otherwise never takes custody of your money.
One consequence is worth stating plainly: because VERA does not hold the funds, VERA cannot release a payout early, pause one, redirect one, or override a hold Stripe has placed on your account. Where this document says a limit is Stripe's, that is a statement about what VERA can actually do, not a disclaimer of responsibility.
2. Your first payout
Stripe holds the first payout on a new connected account for 7 to 14 days while it completes security and risk checks. The window is counted from your first successful payment, applies once, and cannot be shortened or waived by you or by VERA.
The Payouts screen shows the expected window for your account, counted from your own first settled payment. If the window passes without a payout, Stripe is usually waiting on verification information; your Stripe dashboard lists anything outstanding.
3. Ongoing payout speed
After the first payout, United States accounts on the standard schedule are paid roughly 2 business days after a payment settles. Outside the United States, Stripe sets the delay for your country and it can be longer.
Business days exclude weekends and bank holidays, so a payment taken late in the week normally arrives the following week. Payments by bank debit (ACH) settle more slowly than card payments before the payout clock even starts, which is why the Payments screen counts them separately and never shows them as collected money until they settle.
4. Payout schedules
Your payout schedule is a setting on your Stripe account, and you change it in Stripe rather than in VERA. VERA reads the schedule back and shows it on the Payouts screen.
- Daily. Stripe sends your available balance out every business day.
- Weekly. Stripe sends your balance once a week, on the weekday you pick.
- Monthly. Stripe sends your balance once a month, on the date you pick.
- Manual. Money stays in your Stripe balance until you ask for a payout.
- Instant. An eligible debit card or bank account can be paid in about 30 minutes, for an extra fee.
5. Instant payouts
Where Stripe supports it, an instant payout reaches an eligible debit card or bank account in about 30 minutes for an additional fee, which Stripe publishes as 1.5% with a $0.50 minimum in the United States. Stripe sets and may change that fee.
Eligibility is decided by Stripe, and VERA applies its own additional requirements before offering instant payouts: a minimum connected-account age, a minimum amount of successfully settled volume, and dispute and refund rates within the configured thresholds. When you are not eligible, the Payouts screen states the specific reason.
6. Refunds, disputes, and failed payouts
Refunds you issue and disputes you lose are deducted from your Stripe balance, and from future payouts if the balance does not cover them. On a full refund VERA returns its platform fee; on a partial refund VERA keeps it, which is stated in the refund confirmation before you approve it. Stripe's own processing fees are not returned on a refund.
If your bank rejects a payout, Stripe returns the money to your Stripe balance and reports the reason, which VERA shows on the Payouts screen. Correct the bank details in Stripe and the next scheduled payout picks the money up.
7. What is on you
Keeping your Stripe account verified and its bank details current is your responsibility, as is responding to Stripe's requests for information. VERA surfaces outstanding requirements on the Payment Settings screen, but it cannot answer them for you, and payouts stop while a requirement is past due.
Your relationship with Stripe is governed by the Stripe Connected Account Agreement you accepted during onboarding. Where that agreement and this document differ on payout timing, holds, or eligibility, Stripe's agreement governs.
8. Questions about a payout
If a payout is late, missing, or smaller than you expected, start on the Payouts screen: it shows the arrival date Stripe assigned, any failure reason, and the refunds or disputes taken out of your balance. If that does not explain it, contact support@myvera.io with the payment or payout ID and we will help you read it, though only Stripe can release funds or lift a hold.
